Spring Nails

So recently I posted my favourite Winter nail varnishes so today, seeing as Spring is certainly on its way, I thought I would share with you the shades I will be wearing during the next season. My go to colours in terms of both wardrobe and nails during the Spring and Summer are definitely pastel colours because they are so easy to wear and mix and match. When I want something quite bold I opt for the Barry M Nail Paint in the shade 'blueberry' (I cant find the exact shade on the website). I really love the Barry M nail varnishes, especially this one as it doesn't need several layers to build up the colour so it's quite good to just quickly apply. When I want something I bit more subtle I use the pink Topshop polish in the shade 'prim and proper'  (similar here) which I loved for a good couple of years now. Unfortunately they don't sell this shade anymore which is a shame because it's just the right shade of pastel pink without it being too bright or too pale and it's perfect for when you're in that random summery-girly mood. Another shade that is perfect for the spring is the mint MUA colour in the shade 'pistachio ice cream' which my friend bought me for my birthday. It's a really pale pastel green and to me looks like it should glow in the dark but sadly it doesn't (dammit). Despite this it is a really cute mint colour and is quite subtle and I think it would look really nice with cute black and white dresses. Finally the other MUA polish in 'moody mink', which was also featured in my winter nail varnishes post, is perfect for both the colder and warmer months - it's basically an all rounder really. I am just so in love with the colour and is a really good polish to say that it's pretty cheap.

There we have it. The nail varnishes that I will be wearing this spring. Do you opt for pastels in spring or do you prefer brighter colours?
