A/W 16 Wishlist: Zara, Monki & Pull & Bear

Image
Monki High Neck Top // Monki Wide Cropped Trousers // Zara Metallic Top // Zara Basic Cotton Tee // Pull & Bear Shiny Tulle T-Shirt I don't tend to peruse the internet for clothes anymore as it always seems like a daunting task but I selectively scoured a few brands that I knew would have exactly what I'm looking for. I'm looking to add a few new pieces to my A/W wardrobe and I think these would make great additions. I am particularly in desperate need for a good plain white t-shirt as it is something that I definitely lack.  What items do you want for this A/W? Denim Dreams

Primark Top and Belt // Charity Shop Jeans // DM shoes When everything else was in the wash I rediscovered my mom jeans and realised that I still really like them so I put them with a classic stripe. You can't really go wrong. Also please ignore how gross my hair has become. I am going to get it cut asap I promise.  Don't forget to like my Facebook  page and follow me on bloglovin  and instagram: amyleehaynes!

Gingham & Pointed Boots

Image
Topshop Dress // H&M Boots I've noticed that gingham has been making the rounds again which made me ever so happy that I didn't get rid of this dress which I bought on my 18th birthday in London. I'm now 6 months away from being 21 and this purchase only seems like yesterday. I paired the dress with my pointed boots from H&M which I am trying to wear as much as possible before the rain comes because suede and rain are a definite no go for me. These are two pieces which I think I will get a lot of wear out of over the years and are easy to re-work depending on the trends. Fashion Week

Image
source After being in Bristol I've finally got my act together and I'm off to Bristol Fashion Week. As always Bristol's 17 catwalk shows are held at the Mall at Cribbs Causeway from 28th September-2nd October with a variety of prices to fit all budgets. This year's Autumn/Winter show will be hosted by British fashion designer, Henry Holland and TV stylist, Mark Heyes. As most fashion lovers will know Henry is besties with Alexa Chung and Agyness Deyn and the father of the House of Holland brand. He was pushed into the limelight with his slogan tees in 2006 which seem to have made a bit of comeback at London Fashion Week 10 years on. He seems eager to come and host Bristol's fashion extravaganza with his pal Mark.  I'm off to the show on Thursday 29th September at 7:15pm which I will be tweeting about and putting snaps on my instagram story so make sure you follow @amyleehaynes on both to see all of the action. The Saviour Cleanser: Sanctuary Spa Ultimate Cleansing Oil

Image
I have gone off doing beauty type posts recently because I often feel like I don't know what I'm talking about but this cleanser has to be shown to the world. I picked up the Sanctuary Spa Ultimate Cleansing Oil a few months back when it was on offer in Boots (currently reduced from £12 to £9) just to give it a whirl.  I use it in the shower. All you do is apply it with dry hands to a dry face and then wet your hands or some cotton wool and rub it in and it turns into a soapy texture. I've never used a cleansing oil before but oh wow, it is everything people say it is. It leaves your skin feeling plump, hydrated and so amazingly soft. It removes almost every trace of make up even stubborn eye products and it doesn't leave you with panda eyes which, in my experience, is pretty damn good. The only fault I have is that when using it to remove eye make up, it makes my eyes watery for quite a while afterwards but that's a small price I'm willing to pay.

How To Dip Dye Ginger Hair: My Experience

Image
So as you may have noticed in my recent posts, I've not been a total ginge but I've got dip dyed hair. I watched loads of tutorials on how to do it but all of the people doing it had brown hair and I couldn't for the life in me find one of a ginger person doing theirs so here's one for all you gingers.  I think this post will be useful for you red-headed gems because this process wasn't easy for me and it may not be easy for you (sorry but you need to be warned) and my hair did not come out exactly how I wanted it. First of all picking a colour to dip dye it was hard because nothing really matches ginger hair that well. In the end I just picked a colour that I liked and eventually decided on lilac.  Part One: Bleaching You will need to bleach your hair so it's light enough for another colour to take to it properly and so you get the colour that you want. I used Garnier Nutrisse Ultimate Lightener D+++  as it said it would make your hair up to 8 sh

Topshop Top // Primark Dress & Choker // DM shoes  The weather is starting to get a tad temperamental so I've been layering up to cover all options. I've bought a few slip dresses over the summer and I intend on wearing them into the colder months by sticking a long sleeve top on underneath to keep me warm. This dress came with a chiffon tee to go underneath but it was so cropped, the bottom of the top peeped out under the arms of the dress (major fail primark) but it's easy enough to find alternatives to put underneath. If I ever do brave it and wear the dress on it's own, I wear it back to front as it's waaaaay too booby for my liking. I'm also late to the party and loving chokers.  Don't forget to like my Facebook  page and follow me on bloglovin  and instagram: amyleehaynes!

Lace Layers

Image
Primark Top // Zara Skirt // H&M Boots I thought I'd try out a new location as this part of my room gets more light to is but I'm not totally sure that I like it (my speaker wires kind of ruin the look). I'd seen these layered sort of tops in primark and wasn't sure if I liked them but then I popped back in and they had loads on sale at £3 so I thought I would try it out. They're sewn together at the shoulders but I'm sure with a bit of picking you'd be able to take them apart so I got 2 tees for £3, not too bad. I paired it with my trusty leather skirt and I think the combination makes a good smart/casual sort of look, perfect for Friday when you're not really sure what you're going to do -it's an outfit that's ready for anything.  Don't forget to like my Facebook  page and follow me on bloglovin  and instagram: amyleehaynes!

Transitional Inspiration

Image
1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / (all images from pinterest) Happy September! So recently I've been very uninspired with my outfits for three reasons. 1) I've been working so I don't get to experiment much with my style when at work, 2) It's been too hot to wear what I want so I've been wearing whatever stops me from sweating to death (tmi but tru) 3) I've been ill so pjs have been my go to. I have now re-entered the cooler, reduced-working-hours and semi-healthy world and have no idea what to wear. Help.  Don't forget to like my Facebook  page and follow me on bloglovin  and instagram: amyleehaynes!
