Eden Project

Last week I went on a little holiday to Par in Cornwall which is just a short trip away from the Eden Project. As a child, I went on holiday to Cornwall and Devon quite a lot and always saw signs and leaflets for the Eden Project and was fascinated by the giant bubbles, or biomes, that somewhat resemble bubble wrap but I imagine it would be much less satisfying to pop. After always begging my parents to go and never actually visiting, I finally visited last week and it did not disappoint. Built in an old China clay mine, the Eden Project team have created a wonderland filled with thousands of plants, habitats and areas to save the bees. Finally, after venturing down the winding paths, you reach the biomes which each have their own environment; one rainforest and one Mediterranean. Each biome homes tropical plants, native creatures, ponds, waterfalls and rope bridges. It's a great chance to see some tropical scenery whilst staying here in the rainy old UK. It's a perfect day

I Graduated!

I've written a few posts over the last few months talking about finishing university but I guess this is the big one - I've Graduated! Last week I put my glad rags on and some Harry Potter-esque robes and strutted my stuff on the stage of Bristol Cathedral and officially graduated from the University of the West of England with a First Class Degree in History. The past three years have involved a lot of work, hundreds of hours in the library, a few melt downs and a whole lot of stress. It just goes to show what you can do when you put in your best, you do really see the results. I think that it's at moments like this where you can look back and say I am proud and I deserve this. Now let's put this degree to some use... Don't forget to like my Facebook  page and follow me on bloglovin  and instagram: amyleehaynes!

5 Goals for July

I know it's already half way through July but I have only just realised that I forgot to do a goals post for July. No time like the present, better late than never etc. so here we are. This month is pretty exciting as I graduate and I'm off on my holidays and enjoying the early post-grad life. Here are 5 goals to motivate me for the rest of the month. 1. Celebrate finishing my degree. This month I will be graduating at Bristol Cathedral. Whilst it might get a bit stressful trying to organise my family and sorting out gowns, it is a day that might potentially only happen once so I want to enjoy it and celebrate three years of hard work.  2. Relax on holiday. I'm off on holiday pretty much straight after graduation, staying in an Air BnB for the first time in Cornwall. It will be nice to have a break and relax near the sea and enjoying the Cornish Coast.  3. Start a History Blog. Now that I've finished university I want to keep my love for history and my

Bristol Botanic Garden

Zara Top // New Look Skirt // Primark Jacket and Tights // River Island Hat Look at me wearing an outfit that isn't head to toe Primark. I bet you never thought you'd see the day. I've been living in this gingham skirt recently and I'm sure that you've seen every blogger wearing it but I love a good bandwagon to jump on. I like to pair it with some fishnets and a simple top. I've even started to wear this hat that I got a lifetime ago and I'm loving it. Last week I ventured to the Bristol Botanical Gardens to enjoy the plants and to take some photos. They're not the best quality because I had to use my phone as I forgot my SD card for my camera and I couldn't leave without capturing the beautiful scenery and some outfit pictures of course. The gardens are a lovely place to seek tranquillity away from the hustle of the inner city and enjoy some nice views, see some pretty plants and just escape for a little while. It's only a 1
