Aromatherapy Associates Hydrating Triple Rose Renewing Moisturiser £56
As you may have seen recently, Marie Clare have been had samples of the Aromatherapy Associates hydrating range free with one of their most recent issues and I snapped up the chance to try a new skincare range and I love a good freebie. I had never heard of this brand before so I did a bit of digging and it turns out that it is actually a pretty high end brand that specialises in aromatherapy spas located nationwide and in stores, including Liberty. Ooh fancy. I did also check out some of the prices and it is slightly (extremely) out of my price range but it did also increase my expectations of the quality of the products.
The cleanser is a sort of creamy cleanser and I decided to use it when double cleansing after using my Garnier Cleansing Micellar Water. You simply smooth of the face and leave it to settle for a minute and then wipe off with warm water, removing any remaining make up/dirt and unclogging your pores which it did pretty well. The face mask in contrast to the cleanser was more of a clear gel than a cream. Once again you simply smooth over your face. It recommends that you leave it for 10 minutes but I tend to leave face masks for a little longer to get the full impact. What I like about this is that you get that tight feeling that you get from face masks but it's not uncomfortably tight. After removing it with warm water it leaves your skin feeling refreshed and a lot smoother. Finally - the moisturiser. My expectancies of this were much higher than the other two products due to it's exceedingly high price. I find it hard to justify spending that much on shoes never mind a moisturiser. I must admit I was not disappointed. I decided to use this as an overnight moisturiser so I could leave for a few hours to do it's thang without sploshing loads of make up on top. In the morning my face felt what I can only describe as 'balanced' - it wasn't dry and it wasn't oily. Any uneven patches were now evenly smooth and my face just felt so much softer and I feel that it puts my ordinary moisturiser to shame. I am actually so impressed with the moisturiser and if you have the sort of budget to pay for it then go for it. You will not regret it. A common factor of all three products was the smell. oh the smell. Roses. How heavenly? It wasn't so scented that it's irritating, it was just the right amount of smelliness.
Overall I was pretty impressed with all of the products especially the gorgeous smell and just how they manage to make my skin feel balanced and smooth. Although due to my unwillingness to spend that much money on skincare I wont be purchasing these products, if you can splash the cash I think it's a brand worth checking out.
What do you think of the brand?
