A Reintroduction

After a solid 8 years of blogging, I have finally freed myself of the .blogpsot domain. I thought this would be a good time for a reintroduction.

Hi, my name's Amy! I'm 24 years old and I'm currently travelling in New Zealand. Well, I'm technically not travelling right now because the whole country/world is currently in lockdown. I'm a natural red head, something which I used to despise because of all the name calling that came with it but it's now something that I embrace.

I was born in Birmingham which is where I lived until I was 5 before moving close by to Worcestershire for a further 5 years. I then moved up north to Lancashire where I remained until I ventured off to university in Bristol. Because I have lived in quite a few places, my accent is what I describe as neutral and it's hard to place it.

I studied History at UWE in Bristol and I am so glad that I did as it made me really realise that I love history. Whilst in my second year of uni, I met my amazing boyfriend, Sam and we've been together ever since.

I started my blog back in 2012 because I wanted something a bit more sophisticated than my Tumblr. I was so inspired by everyone else who was blogging at the time, sharing their outfits and latest purchases and knew I wanted to do the same. 2012 was also the year that I moved into Sixth Form so no longer had to wear a uniform 5 days a week so could get more experimental with my style. It's safe to say that if you search for long enough there are some disastrous outfits documented in this tiny corner of the internet but I was happy with it at the time so who cares? Unfortunately, I little while ago I did delete the worst of them.

Since 2012 as I have evolved so has my blog. Whilst I still talk about my style and my day to day life, I have developed more of a sustainable theme to those topics. As I have got older, I have become more concerned with the state that our planet is in and want to do my best to take care of it. But I don't want to be a preachy zero waste blogger that makes you feel bad for buying something wrapped in plastic. I want to take more of a realistic approach to sustainable living.

If you've been reading my blog for the past 8 years, then congrats and a huge thank you. And thank you to anyone and everyone who decides to have a peruse. I hope you all have a great day!
